BRAINS!!!

  • “A San Antonio woman is being held on $1 million bail in the killing of her 3½-week-old son yesterday. Police say he was dismembered, his face torn away and his brains ripped out. She had apparently eaten the brains, three toes and other body parts before stabbing herself.”
  • “New psychological research suggests that loneliness can be alleviated by simply turning on your favorite TV show. In the same way that a snack can satiate hunger in lieu of a meal, it seems that watching favorite TV shows can provide the experience of belonging without a true interpersonal interaction.”
  • “But this wasn’t the first time Rodell Vereen has been charged with buggery. He pleaded guilty last year to having sex with the same horse after owner Barbara Kenley found him in the same stable and was sentenced to probation and placed on the state’s sex offender list.”

This week I would like to invite you

at 1:44 PM

Hello

So, there are two things in NY this week, in case you’re around, that
I would like to invite you to:

The first one is that I was asked to “perform at and put work in a
show that I curated” at Terence Koh’s wonderful gallery, Asia Song
Society. Kind of a funny thing, right, the put yourself in a show
thing? But they asked and I love Terence and Elizabeth Lovero who
directs the gallery and the gallery itself, so, you know, let’s do
this, right? The other two artists are two of my favorite favorite
artists that there are and neither of them have shown in NY really
before, so I am super super excited to be roping them into this, as
well. Bobbi Woods and Adam Marnie…. boom!! I will perform as a a
version of a new thing, as well and there is an afterparty at some
sort of “illegal Chinese karaoki” place, but I’ll let you know about
that once we get there.

And the second thing is a “traditional BARR show” with Silk Flowers
(RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and Love Tan at Sculpture Center.

HYPED!!!!!!
