iceage interview:
What is a normal day like for you? Do you work? Go to school? How often do you practice?
School. Dan is a janitor and Jakob cutting up boxes in a hi fi store. We practice at a youth center every Wednesday. Half of us aren’t even members, but they think we are.
What is the youth center like?
There’s a lot of 15 year old chav boys listening to hardstyle techno.
Do you get involved in anything else there?
No, we just go there to practice.
Tell me about being a teenager in Copenhagen. What are the kids you’re in school with like? Do they know you’re in a band?
Most teenagers in Copenhagen are wankers. I don’t think anyone at school besides the people we know in some way know about the band.
What are shows like in Copenhagen?
Recently our shows have taken a violent direction. When we played “studenterhuset” they tried to stop the gig while we was playing and ended up throwing us and our friends, which were about 60% of the people who came to see us, out of the venue. And when we played a fancy bar called Jolene last Thursday two chairs, a mirror and a table got smashed.
